The Select Board will have a full agenda for this Tuesday’s meeting. They will receive an update from Reading Police Department regarding their community efforts, including School Resource Officers and comfort dogs, mental health, and addiction outreach. The Select Board will also review a resolution celebrating Sally Hoyt’s 100th Birthday in appreciation from our Select Board for her dedicated service to the betterment of the community. Also, the Community Development team has begun working on our Housing Production Plan, which the Select Board will be brought up to speed on. Finally, the board will be brought up to speed on preparations for this coming November’s Town Meeting.
Other Items on the agenda for discussion include proposed changes to the Town Personnel Policy, approval of an offer of employment to a new candidate for treasurer (Endri Kume resigned late last month), the FY 2024 Capital Plan and Process, discussion on the proposed polystyrene bylaw, discussion of town master-plan, and the upcoming state legislation visit.
