If you’ve been downtown in the last couple days, you might have noticed the purple and yellow flags at the Town Common and wondered what they are for. Tonight is the 2022 Recovery and Remembrance event from 6:00-7:30pm. The Coalitions in Malden, Medford, Melrose, Reading, Stoneham, Wakefield and Winchester have organized this special event to offer opportunities for networking, learning and remembering.
The schedule of the events are as follows:
- 6:00-6:15 pm- Networking, Info tables and Decorate a candle bag for a loved one activity.
- 6:15-6:45 pm- Speakers (celebrating recovery, family support).
- 6:45-7:00 pm- Walk to Remember & Purple Ribbon Display.
- 7:00-7:30 pm- Candlelight vigil walk around the common.
There will also be musical performance by the brother and sister music duo, Cait & Pat. They will be will be dedicating their performance to their friend who they remember during this event and always.
