Town Clerk, Laura Gemme, has provided a second update for all of the open seats in the April 4, 2023 election. We will provide updates every Thursday until the ballot is finalized as nomination papers are not official until returned and certified by the Town Clerk and Board of Registrars.
13 new nomination papers were taken out this week, all for Town Meeting, with no additions to the other boards or committees. Most notably, Nina Pennacchio, candidate for re-election to the Board of Library Trustees is no longer on the revised list from the previous week. It appears as the listing has been modified to only include just the candidates that have officially pulled papers rather than those that are up for re-election.
Both Erin Gaffen of the School Committee and Karen Gately Herrick of the Select Board turned in their nomination papers to be certified this week. Precinct 3 finally has it’s first candidate, Jason Clarke of Ash Street, seeking 1 of the 8 spots for Town Meeting in that precinct.
