In 2019, the Town of Reading purchased 25 acres on Symonds Way from the Zanni family for $750,000. Only about 2.5 acres are build-able with the rest of the lot being wetlands. The Symonds Way Exploratory Committee (SWEC) was formed last year to make recommendations to the Select Board on the best possible uses for the property. For an aerial overview of the property that we shot last December, please check out our YouTube link here: https://youtu.be/jiXiH-6s-ic
At their last February SWEC meeting, the committee chaired by Select Board member Carlo Bacci, voted on a community wide survey on the best use of the property. Please visit the following town survey link (brief 7 questions) to add your input for what you’d like to see done with the property: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/SWECSocial
