via the Town of Reading – Please be advised that Lowell Street, from Main Street to High Street, will be closed to all through traffic beginning tomorrow, Wednesday April 12, between the hours of 8:00am and 4:30pm. Detours will be in place. This is to allow the Town’s contractor to repair many of the manholes on Lowell Street in preparation for the upcoming paving work. Residents should expect this same section of Lowell Street to be closed daily for at least the next couple of days until all of the manhole repairs have been completed.
Local access to Town Hall and all properties within the closed section of Lowell Street will still be permissible. Also, all on-street parking within the road closure area will be prohibited. Any vehicles found parked on the travel way when the road is closed will be towed at the owner’s expense. Please monitor the Town’s Facebook page and website for further updates related to future road closures pertaining to subsequent phases of this project.
