via the RPD – Join us for our Annual Citizen Police Academy starting in September! Meet a variety of your local officers as well get a tour of the station, see the inside and outside of police cruisers, learn about investigations, firearms, less lethal options, dispatch procedures, traffic & safety and current scams and how to avoid them via classroom teaching and demonstrations. Participants will also get to meet the Reading Police Department’s comfort dogs Cooper and Rusty as well as our K-9 Tango. Fall 2023: Classes start Tuesday, September 12th, and run through November 7th.
The class is from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm and will be held at the Reading Police Department.
