Town Clerk Laura Gemme has provided a sixth update (titled correction, which cleaned up some Town Meeting seat availability) for all of the open seats in the March 5, 2024 local election, which is combined this year with the Presidential Primary. We will provide updates every Thursday until the ballot is finalized as nomination papers are not official until returned and certified by the Town Clerk and Board of Registrars. The last day to pull and return papers is January 16, 2024 by 5PM.
The incumbent for the single seat on the Select Board, Christopher Haley, had his nomination papers certified this week. Newcomer Tara Gregory of Pleasant Street pulled nomination papers on Wednesday and has not yet returned them for certification. From the School Committee, newcomer Dana Guarino of Holly Road had his nomination papers certified this week along with incumbent Sarah McLaughlin. Incumbent Shawn Brandt has not yet returned his paperwork. From the RMLD Board of Commissioners, current Climate Committee member Ray Porter returned his paperwork and was certified as was Pamela Daskalakis. Incumbent Marlena Bita has not yet taken out papers.
Wrapping things up with the The Board of Library Trustees with incumbent Andrew Grimes still has his nomination papers outstanding as well as newcomer Andrew Gregory of Pleasant Street. Incumbent Monique Gnanaratnam has not yet taken out papers. Alan Foulds, the incumbent for Town Moderator has pulled and returned his paperwork which was certified as well.
Town meeting had 2 individuals pull since this Wednesdays cumulative update, (P1) Michael Nazzaro of Lawrence Road and (P2) Boris Nusirion of Johanna Street.
