Town Clerk Laura Gemme has provided a seventh and final update for all of the open seats in the March 5, 2024 local election, which is combined this year with the Presidential Primary. The last date and time to for a candidate to withdraw their name from the ballot is 5:00 PM on February 1st.
The incumbent for the single seat on the Select Board, Christopher Haley and newcomer Tara Gregory of Pleasant Street have both been certified. For the two open School Committee seats, newcomer Dana Guarino of Holly Road was certified along with incumbents Sarah McLaughlin and Shawn Brandt. From the RMLD Board of Commissioners, current Climate Committee member Ray Porter was certified as was Pamela Daskalakis with both seats available. Incumbent Marlena Bita did not seek re-election.
Wrapping things up with the two seats on the Board of Library Trustees is incumbent Andrew Grimes being certified as well as newcomer Andrew Gregory of Pleasant Street. Incumbent Monique Gnanaratnam did not seek re-election. Alan Foulds, the incumbent for sole seat as Town Moderator has been certified as well.
Town meeting has 51 incumbents running for office and 37 non-incumbents.
