The Select Board will be meeting this morning at 9:30am on Zoom only. This earlier than normal start time and date is to accommodate the Open Session and/or Executive Session Purpose 1: Discuss and potentially respond to Open Meeting Law Complaint against the Select Board by John Sullivan, received June 15, 2024. The complaint on page 3 of the packet alleges a June 4th violation by the Select Board stemming from them potentially entering executive session improperly. The complaint goes on to mention the vote was 3-1 to enter Executive Session but does not cite the abstention by Karen Gately Herrick.
Following the OML complaint will be an appointment of two members to the Trails Committee:
- David Swyter to an associate member with a term expiring June 30, 2025
- John Kastrinos to a full member with a term expiring June 30, 2027
Lastly, there will be a discussion on the rationale for replacing the current Select Board representative (Karen Gately Herrick) to the Killam School Building Committee (KSBC); and to consider and vote to nominate or appoint new Select Board representative to the KSBC. There is no information in the packet regarding this agenda item but it was mentioned during future agendas at the boards last meeting that this would be added to their next meeting.
