Mystic Valley Elder Services Presents Fundraiser at Greater Boston Theater Co.
Help support older adults and people with disabilities in Reading and neighboring communities by joining Mystic Valley Elder Services (MVES) for its annual Spring for Independence fundraiser.
MVES will host a benefit performance of “The Play That Goes Wrong,” on Thursday, April 10, at Greater Boston Stage Company, 395 Main St. in Stoneham. The evening begins at 6 p.m. with a pre-show reception with complimentary cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, followed by the show at 7 p.m.
The show is a play within a play in which a theater troupe attempts to stage a 1920s murder mystery — but the cast and crew are beset by one calamity after another. Audiences find themselves rooting for, but still laughing at, the troupe’s attempt to struggle through ever-growing chaos.

All proceeds will support underfunded programs and services and help MVES’ mission of empowering older adults and people with disabilities to live independently.
