Reading Public Library (RPL), Reading, MA—Come see exciting art shows this spring at the Reading Public Library Studio!
March: The Kramer Family Artists
Three talented artists with Reading roots are showing their work:
Lloyd Kramer is in his eighties and makes beautiful wooden vases and bowls. A carpenter, Lloyd built his family’s Reading home and taught woodworking at Wakefield High School from 1969 to 1998.
Julie Kramer creates portraits using oil paints in her studio
north of Boston. She looks for “emotion and truth” in the small details of faces—like skin lines, eyebrows, and eyes. Julie says it’s “an honor to offer my own rendering of who they
might be.”
Gretchen Kramer Morse studied Fine Arts at the University of New Hampshire. She worked as an artist, teacher, and children’s book illustrator in the Boston area before moving to Rockport, where she now has her studio.
April: Mayflower Chapter of Rug Hooking Artists

● Is part of a global community of over 4,000 fiber artists
● Helps people express themselves through fiber art.
● Creates their own designs across an array of themes and
challenges.
Stop by the library studio to enjoy all this amazing art and watch out for more artists’ works on display throughout the spring.
