This Tuesday, April 1, Writers’ Collaborative Learning Center is hosting a FREE Author Talk.
North Reading based author, Dan Zimmerman, will discuss his journey in writing his true crime novel: Shots in the Dark.
Dan’s novel revolves around Rocco Balliro, a man believed to be responsible for the murder of Dan’s aunt and cousin.
As he was writing his novel, Dan decided he would interview Balliro, who was serving time in MCI-Norfolk. That initial interview turned into a two-year span of interviews resulting in a completely different novel. After all that time, Dan believed the subject of his story was wrongfully convicted.
Dan will discuss his research and writing process, and share behind the scenes stories from his journey. He will have copies of his book for sale.
