To the voting citizens of Reading,
I am honored to write this letter in support of Dana Guarino and his candidacy for the Reading School Committee. I have had the privilege of working alongside Dana for the past thirteen years at Sports Medicine North as a Physician Assistant, where he established himself as a leader within our team by the time I was hired. Dana’s confidence in his knowledge and abilities, combined with his unwavering work ethic and strong moral compass, made him an invaluable mentor. His ability to empathize and go the extra mile for others is evident in the gratitude expressed by his patients.
I still remember when Dana and his wife, Stefanie, first shared their excitement about welcoming their daughter. As their family grew, so did Dana’s dedication to being an involved father. He has coached numerous youth sports teams, instilled in his children the values of faith and community service, and consistently promotes health, nutrition, and exercise.
Dana’s exceptional work ethic and integrity—so clearly demonstrated in his patient care—extend seamlessly into his role as a father and community member. His commitment to fostering a healthy, supportive, and safe environment for his daughter, two sons, and their peers makes him an outstanding candidate for School Committee. He possesses both the intelligence to thoughtfully analyze complex issues and the common sense to apply his expertise in a way that best serves the students of Reading.
I have no reservations about Dana’s candidacy. If elected, he will be a dedicated, trustworthy colleague who will approach this role with diligence, positivity, and a deep commitment to the community. If I can be of any further assistance in support of his candidacy, please feel free to reach out to me via email or phone.
Sincerely,
Benjamin L. Smith, PA-C, MPAS
