Monday, April 1, at the Reading Public Library.
Reading Public Library, (RPL) Reading, MA—Spring is here and you might be eager to get outdoors and start gardening! On Monday, April 1, join Reading’s Crystal Garden Club for an evening designed to start your thinking about the soil, flowers, and vegetables that will make up your 2024 gardening efforts, and how you can get your entire family engaged in the fun.
The program will have three components: discussion of a simple method for rich compost, an exploration of starting the seeds that will evolve into a bounty of vegetables, and last, but certainly not least, an examination of the flowers that you can plant to create an environmentally beneficial pollinator garden.
Led by members of the Crystal Garden Club, the event will answer questions of “”Why Garden?,”” “”What do I need to do?”” and “”How do I get my kids involved?””
No registration is required for this event on Monday April 1, from 7:00 – 8:30pm in the library’s Community Room.
