- Father’s Day Luncheon Catered by DiCara’s – Thursday, June 13th from 1:00pm to 2:00pm: Join us for a wonderful Father’s Day Lunch here at the Pleasant Street Center. All older adults are welcome. Please call the PSC at 781-942-6794 to sign up.
- Hairdresser Linda Sullivan – Hairdresser Linda Sullivan is taking hair appointment for Tuesday, June 11th here at the Pleasant Street Center. Simple trims and blow outs only. This will be her last day for the Summer. Linda will return in September. Gratuities are welcome. Please call the Pleasant Street center for more information or to make an appointment.
- History of Feminism in Music by John Clark – Wednesday, June 26th from 10:00am to 11:00am: Music historian, John Clark will present on 100 Years of music from 1870 to 1970 that played a vital part in American women’s struggles for equal status and equal rights. You will heat songs by such widely diverse artists as Sophie Tucker, Joan Baez, Mimi Farina, Aretha Franklin, Peggy Lee and more. Please Call to sign up.
- Lunch and Learn: Thursday, June 27th from 1:00pm to 2:00pm: Join Staci Gruber, PhD. Director of the Cognitive and Clinical Neuroimaging Core and the Marijuana Investigations for Neuroscientific Discovery (MIND) program at Mclean Hospital. Dr. Gruber will review important terms and concepts related to cannabis use and will describe the scope and rising prevalence of cannabis use among older adults. Lunch with be catered by Fat Larry’s.
