READING — Police Chief David Clark reports that the Reading Police Department arrested and charged a North Reading woman for operating under the influence of alcohol.
JACQUELINE NJUGUNA, AGE 39, of NORTH READING, was arrested and charged with:
- OUI – Liquor
- Marked Lanes
- Speeding
On Saturday, Sept. 7, at approximately 8:35 p.m., an officer was on patrol in the area of Main Street near Charles Street when he noticed a vehicle speeding and pulled the vehicle over.
The driver, identified as NJUGUNA, smelled of alcohol, was unsteady on her feet, and declined to participate in field sobriety tests. NJUGUNA was taken into custody at the scene.
NJUGUNA was scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Woburn District Court.
These are allegations. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
