Starting tonight at 7:30PM at Reading Memorial High School, Readings Subsequent Town Meeting is scheduled to begin. This Town Meeting has 23 Articles listed, with 1 of them already presumably off the table to start, Article 19. Article 19 was going to be about the purchase of 17 Harnden Street, the former Walgreens, but the Select Board at their past meeting recommended tabling it until February 2023.
Other articles that will generate considerable conversation are:
- Artile 6 – Affordable Housing Trust Fund
- Article 7 – $2.2 Million for the Killam Feasibility Study
- Article 20 – Polystyrene Ban by-law
It’s anticipated that this Town Meeting will run for 3-4 days with the next one being held on Thursday. Below is the YouTube link for RCTV’s feed for the 11-14 Town Meeting and a combined PDF with all the Warrants, Motions, Presentations and Amendments.
