Owner Karin DiNapoli's love of baking began when she started making cakes and cookies for her kid's birthday parties and special events. After several years of sharing her treats with family and friends, DiNapoli opened the doors to Cupcake City in November 2011.

With strong ties to the Reading Community, having grown up and currently raising her family in town, she knew it was the perfect location for the bakery. DiNapoli sees her customers as family and wants everyone to feel welcome and have a positive experience.
In Spring 2012, Cupcake City went mobile and launched a pink cupcake truck. In addition to popping up at festivals and events all throughout Massachusetts, many local companies rent the truck for employee or customer appreciation events. If you see us out on the road, give us a friendly honk!

Additionally, Cupcake City has been featured on the Phantom Gourmet twice and was a featured bakery on Channel 5's Chronicle in 2016 and 2021. Whether you’re planning a wedding or need a dozen cupcakes for your child's next birthday party, DiNapoli and her team at Cupcake City can't wait to help.
